Wire Fence is celebrating Christmas by donating their profits made on the 13th December to a dog rescue centre. The business has launched a Facebook competition where any UK based charity can apply for the funds.
The winter months can be cold and lonely in the shelters, and no one deserves to feel unloved at Christmas. The staff and volunteers at rescue centres work tirelessly all year to help abandoned dogs find their forever homes, and Wire Fence pledged to support their efforts in doing so. By donating their profits, they are hoping to make Christmas brighter for the residents of the shelters.
The application process involves the following steps:
- Go to their Facebook page
- Find their post about this event
- Share the post publicly
- Collect as many likes as you can on your shared post until the 13th of December.
The donation will be sent to the organisation who gets the most likes on Facebook until the 13th December. The winner will be announced on the 15th December.
Since the end of the lockdown in the UK, thousands of pets have been dumped at shelters due to their owners returning to work and lacking the time and resources to care for them. According to the BBC, many rescue centres are overwhelmed by the volume of incoming residents – so they need all the support they can get.
Wire Fence is dedicated to helping those in need. They decided to support a different organisation each month by organising a fundraising event. Read more about this charitable initiative here.
